AgriMarketing Program

The barley industry applied for an AgriMarketing Program grant to conduct a project called Developing Food and Feed Markets for Canadian Barley. 

The objective of the project is to develop a Long Term International Strategy (LTIS), which will grow and expand domestic and export markets, undertake promotional activities to help position and differentiate Canadian barley products and farmers, and support the industry’s ability to meet market requirements. The food and feed sectors are major growth targets for the LTIS and the AMP grant.

Alberta Barley Funding: up to $306,194 annually ($299,300 in 2013–2014) and non-financial resources as required
