Barley Council of Canada’s new website engages Canadian barley industry

(Calgary, Alberta) September 15, 2014–The Barley Council of Canada (BCC) is pleased to announce the launch of its new website–www.barleycouncil.com. The site will provide reports on national research projects, the latest industry news, and real-time updates on the issues that affect Canadian barley.

“Our new website will be a go-to source for our members, and Canadians,” said Barley Council of Canada Chair Brian Otto. “We are proud of the work we do, and this website communicates that.”

As the national voice for barley, the BCC’s members comprise all links in the value chain, from researcher and producer to manufacturer and end-user. As a truly national and unified voice, the BCC is proud to have a website that communicates its message effectively to both members and the Canadian public.

“Our new website is not only an informational tool, it is a forum where barley players can come together to communicate and inspire,” Otto added. “This is a functional, practical resource for every facet of our value chain.”

As part of the BCC’s mandate, www.barleycouncil.com will also include a platform for respected industry members to weigh in, and informative videos on the latest industry news.

“We wanted the site to engage users in our projects and the industry’s growth,” said BCC Executive Director Brett Campbell. “Canadian barley is gaining a large following locally and globally. This site provides a platform for people to become more involved in the story of barley.”

As the national voice for barley, the BCC boasts membership from across Canada, including the research and life science community, malting and brewing sector, feed and livestock industry and select grain handling companies.
