Rod Merryweather

Rod Merryweather has worked in agricultural his entire career. After achieving a degree in Agricultural Economics for the University of Saskatchewan, he spent 30 years at Bayer Cropscience in various leadership positions including his role as Director, NA Seeds and Traits, Oilseeds where he lead the canola group and the InVigor brand. In 2012, he retired and spent two years consulting with various seed companies. In 2013, Mr. Merryweather joined FP Genetics Inc. as its CEO. Merryweather is currently a director on several boards including Genome Alberta and the Canadian Agribusiness Education Foundation (CABEF). He is married to Cecilia Merryweather and recently returned to Regina after spending many years in Calgary. Merryweather joins the BCC board as the representative for the seed industry.
